​The 'Organic' listings

​These search results are the ones that list your name (that you hopefully have on your website) and your site description  along with your website address.  They account for about 48% of the total clicks. If you're not on the front page of the organic listings, you're really not in the running for any new business.  

Google tracking shows that if you are ranked "No 1" on the organic listings you get around 35% of the "Organic Clicks" which translates to 35% more business than the next business down.  No 2" organic gets around 17%, "No 3" around 10%, dropping to around 2% of "clicks" for the "No 10" position on page one of the results.  

And let's be honest, how many of you ever click through to look at the results on Page 2? Well Google tell us that the" clicks" from listing "No 11" and below are below 1% and keep falling the further down you are.

Here's the trick.  if you have a website and you search for your business name, you come up (or we hope you do, if you don't, call us!) if you do, now try to search for what you do.  That is, search in your market, butcher, baker or candlestick maker.  Search through "your" market and if you cannot find yourself on page one  (or two) of the listings, then, simply put you, have a problem with your website. You need optimisation, now!

The Map Pack ​

This is where Google show a picture of a local map with some listings.

The Map Pack accounts for around 25% of the clicks.

There are only three spaces per market type, and if you're not in it, you really should call us.
